About Dr. Golden
Dr. Daniel Golden’s journey in eye care began long before his formal education. After working in ophthalmology for several years, he fell in love with patient care and the incredible impact that clear vision can have on someone’s life. As an optometrist, he is passionate about providing comprehensive eye care that not only addresses medical concerns but also improves his patients’ day-to-day lives.
Dr. Golden specializes in primary eye care, managing ocular diseases, and fitting contact lenses. What excites him the most about this field is the continuous learning and technological advancements that allow providers to improve patient outcomes. Whether it’s detecting early signs of disease or helping someone see clearly for the first time, Dr. Golden takes pride in being a part of patients’ eye health.
When he is not in the clinic, he loves spending time with his family and their cat, Squinks, who always manages to keep things interesting at home. He also enjoys hiking the scenic trails at Point Reyes, where the coastal views and fresh air help him recharge.
As a native San Diegan, Dr. Golden is a huge Padres fan and makes it a point to catch their games whenever he can. And when he’s not outdoors or cheering on his team, you’ll likely find him exploring the amazing food scene in the Bay Area.
